Mahinda, Gotta and Kumaran Pathmanathan “howla” versus Sri Lankan Tamil Diaspora

I have been in Jaffna for last 3 weeks– Jaffna is booming with unprecedented Sri Lankan Tamil Diaspora visitors – most of them seeing their relatives after 3 decades or so, some after a decade and some after few years – but all of them had few common easy feelings that carried them to land of birth this year around, that is free of any fear due to change of government and the attitude towards them regarding some unofficial restrictions by way of demands from the interested parties. Nothing hindrance is in existence now for their lavish spending and enjoying their long summer holidays with their children off European countries, sharing with local relatives. Just before January 08 2015, Mahinda and Gotabaya Rajapaksa, had been implementing a selective travel ban for Tamil Diaspora to North and East Sri Lanka.

One of my cousins arrived into his country of birth last week after 3 decades explained to me why he was able to make up the trip this time around, though he had opted to visit 3 times since 2012, but strolled the travel at the last minute, after completing the travel arrangements.   He told me some agents would contact them by various means as soon as he completes travel formalities, and order them to pay some money (As ransom for save return to country origin of travel) to a particular children orphanage in Kilinochchy, to which later inquiries revealed that KP or Kumaran Pathmanathan is in charge de affairs and where he is residing now since January 08 2015.

I wanted to counter check this statement, with another cousin who is well to do and every year visited Sri Lanka to ensure taking care of elderly mother and sibling, who also very closer to that above said “Some Agent” – surprisingly for me he affirmed that statement, and acknowledged paying such ransom fearing hold up in Sri Lanka – amounting to few hundred thousand on four visits, and he is thoroughly upset with this “friendly” agent in exile.   My neighbor at Suthumalai home who had come after 3 decades related similar experience of first described.   

It is well known fact that deposed President Mahinda Rajapaksa, despite disturbing “hahoo kalabola” during the dawn of 9^th January 2015, obtained the  safety guarantee for two persons from Ranil Wickeremasinghe, who was about to be sworn in as Prime Minister,   and later even from President Maithripala Sirisena, and that one of them is  KP. This proves Mahinda and Gotabaya Rajapaksa’s were in it, and part of this cruel Orphanage Pretext Ransom Racket. The man who plundered Tsunami money and won the 2005 election would do anything to stay in power, and that is what he has been demonstrating now a days all throughout his political carrier; what is he wolf cries as Ranil is going to do in election platforms, would be put into reality by Mahinda himself – if an opportunity is provided, that much is Mahinda is desperate for power.  TNA please wake up and it seems they have woken up considering their Election Manifesto!!
